The sweet taste of Italy…

In 1902, Biagio Colavolpe left his older brother, Raffelle and his home in Amalfi and traveled across the ocean to America. And with him, he brought his mother, Anna's, favorite cookie recipes. Biagio lived the rest of his life in New Haven, Connecticut, but he never forgot the wonderful smells and tastes of his youth - the Pignoli, Cuccidetta, Anisette, and Biscotti to name a few. These recipes have been saved and perfected over the years and passed down through generations from his mother, Anna, to Rose, his granddaughter, then to Rose Ann, his great granddaughter, who is now baking them with her daughter, Jamie, his great great granddaughter. They are now brought to you the way Biaggio and Rafelle enjoyed them as children. For Italians, nothing is more important than family. Whether sharing heartfelt stories of the distant past, or just wonderful meals across a shared table, family defines the boundaries of life. Rose Ann started Meoli's, her Italian cookie company, in 2008, using the best ingredients and authentic Italian recipes. Her cookies soon grew in popularity and found themselves on menus and order forms of some of the best Italian restaurants and markets in Atlanta. Meoli's is now back in business and is managed by both Rose Ann and her daughter Jamie, passing down family tradition and recipes to a fifth generation. We hope you'll enjoy eating these tasty treats as much as we enjoy sharing them with you.
